We plan and deliver training courses for a wide range of participants, including:

• Schools and early education settings
• Ethnic minority achievement services
• Children's services
• Social, health and library services
• Voluntary sector services and projects.

We can offer a wide range of training opportunities in the field of refugees, refugee education and pupil mobility. For example:

• Raising awareness
• The background and experiences of refugee children
• Managing pupil mobility and supporting new arrivals, including children new to English
• Welcoming new arrivals from the European Union accession states
• Supporting well-being, including emotional and social needs
• Induction of specialist practitioners working with refugee and asylum-seeking children and families
• Teaching about refugees in the Citizenship/PSHE curriculum
• Promoting community cohesion - the new duty for schools
• Promoting social inclusion and participation
• Every Child Matters and refugee children
• Working with refugee parents and community organisations
• Multi-agency working
• Service evaluation and review.

Training can be tailored to the particular needs of schools, children and young people’s services, and services provided by voluntary sector and community organisations. Target audiences can be the full range of staff within any organisation, whatever their level of responsibility. We are also able to support you in undertaking an analysis of training needs.

Please contact us if you would like to discuss training for your service or organisation.
