We can offer consultancy support to your service or organisation in a range of areas, including:

Developing services for refugee children and young people
We can support the development of strategies, projects and interventions to improve outcomes for refugee children and young people.

Managing pupil mobility
We can support the development of admission arrangements, induction systems, strategies and resources to manage pupil mobility in schools.

Educational media
We can advise on the development of video and DVD programmes that support professional development.

Consultation was provided to Teachers’ TV for two programmes: Including Refugee Children and Removing Barriers to Learning.

We planned, facilitated and supported the editing of Save the Children's successful teaching resource video I am Here! Teaching about refugees, identity, inclusion and the media.

We also provided consultation to Save the Children for their development of the highly successful teaching resource video, In Safe Hands.

Research and evaluation
We are able to undertake research and consultation for your service or organisation, and also evaluate existing projects. We deliver professionally written reports that summarise research, evaluation and consultation findings and can provide you with recommendations for further service development.

An investigation and report for Lewisham Ethnic Minority Achievement Service.

Race equality and the recruitment and retention of minority ethnic teacher trainees (2006)
A training needs analysis for Goldsmith’s College.

Proposals for developing curriculum provision for 14-16 year old new arrivals with English as an Additional Language (2004)
A feasibility study for Peterborough Children’s Services.

The Management of Pupil Mobility in Lewisham Secondary Schools (2004)
A report, conducted for the local authority’s EMAS team that gathered information about good practice in schools, with recommendations for development.

The Refugee Designated Teacher Project Pilot Programme (2004)
An evaluation for Kent Minority Communities Achievement Service.

Developing Cross-borough Support for Homeless Children and Families (2003).
A pilot project and report to develop partnerships and protocols for Newham’s Children’s Fund to support homeless families who are re-housed across borough boundaries.

Working for the inclusion of families with children under 4 who may traditionally not use Sure Start programmes (2003)
Identifying ways of locating and supporting families who traditionally do not access services for Newham’s Carpenter’s and Three Mills Sure Start Programme.

Provision for pupils arriving mid-phase in North Islington EAZ schools (2003)
A report, conducted for the local authority’s Education Action Zone and EMAS team, that gathered information about good practice in schools, with recommendations for development.
